Large-format machining: full plates, in a single set-up
Our French-built SBC DBA milling machine machines plates up to 2,100 × 3,100 mm in a single set-up. The part is held by vacuum on the vacuum table: no joins between two fixtures, no re-referencing of dimensions.

Why a single set-up matters
On a large plate, every re-clamping adds a risk of offset between two machined areas. In a single set-up, the relative position of holes, grooves and pockets is held from one end of the part to the other.
The vacuum table holds the plate over its whole surface, with no vice or clamp in the tool path: the outline, pockets and holes are machined in the same operation. Chips are removed continuously and minimum-quantity lubrication avoids flooding the part.

What is the largest part you can machine?
The SBC DBA milling machine table measures 2,100 × 3,100 mm: a plate of this size is machined in a single set-up. For long metal parts, the MAZAK VTC 200C vertical machining centre offers an X travel of 1,660 mm.
How is a large plate held during machining?
By vacuum, on the vacuum table. There is no vice or clamp in the tool path, and the plate is not moved between operations.
How do you inspect a large part?
With our portable KEYENCE XM-5000 optical 3D measuring machine, which covers a 2,000 mm volume and imports your CAD model (STEP, IGES). On request, the inspection report shows each dimension photographed where it was measured.
Do you produce series or only one-off parts?
Both: from one-off parts to series, with framework agreements and buffer stock for recurring parts.
